Kenda prepares for the #99 Kenda Porsche homecoming-

MILWAUKEE, WI (July 31, 2012) —Jeff Courtney is back after more than a two month break from the competition. The #99 Kenda Tires/ Porsche will be the focus of attention for the home-town Kenda Tires Sponsorship team with the races taking place the weekend of August 3-5 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

“I am dying to get back in the driver’s seat,” says Courtney, “It’s been a long break for me and I am looking forward to a great run for the Kenda fans and the JCR/TruSpeed Team”.

Courtney has had some track time at Elkhart Lake’s Road America course with the #99 Kenda Tires/ Porsche, preparing for the double-race weekend.

“Adding excitement to this race,” said Courtney, “is knowing that my title sponsor Kenda will be at the track supporting us all weekend. Kenda Tires has been behind me nearly my whole road-racing career and I always look forward to seeing them at the track”.

Courtney races this weekend with a heavy heart at the pasing of Tom Hnatiw, long-time Speed TV personality, racing announcer and great friend. He will be in the thoughts and prayers of so many this weekend. “Tom will be missed. He was a great announcer, he loved the sport and was a true friend”, says Courntey.

Courtney’s JCR Motorsports Porsche will be under the TruSpeed tent as the teams work together once again in a partnership that has grown during the 2012 season.

The race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will be broadcast by NBC Sports, Saturday, August 25th at 1:30-3PM eastern. Note, time and date subject to change. View live streaming on the day of race and continuously on demand after races.
