ELKHART LAKE, WI – It’s home sweet home for JCR Motorsports as the Milwaukee-based team makes the short trip for the Grand Prix of Road America the weekend of June 23-25.

JCR Motorsports will be competing in the GTS class of the Pirelli World Challenge Series with a two-car team. Jeff Courtney of Milwaukee will be driving the #99 Kenda/RecStuff.com/JCR Motorsports Maserati GT4, while Canadian Fred Roberts is in the #89 RPM Canada/Enercare Maserati GT4 in each of the PWC’s two races.

Courtney finished second here last year and won the Best Move Of The Race award in front of his hometown fans. Already this year he has a pair of second-place finishes. Roberts joined the team for the last event at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park with a fourth in class and is eager to get more seat time so he can get up to full competitive speed.

“Of course we always look forward to competing at what we consider to be our home race, and it’s a bonus that this is also a great event at a top racing facility,” Courtney said. “It is also great to get extra support from family and friends in the area, combined with the fact that it is only 45 minutes from our shop and I’m just an hour from sleeping in my own bed.

“What’s not to like about this event!?

“It is also special because it is a home event for our sponsor RecStuff.com, which is based here in Wisconsin. We had a pretty good run here last year and the JCR crew has been working very hard to try to improve on that and hopefully get both Fred and I onto the podium.”

Fred Roberts again joins JCR Motorsports to make up a two-car team.

“It’s great to be back behind the wheel and I am very happy with the entire JCR team,” Roberts said. “They have been helping me adjust to the new platform and we expect to run hard at Road America in front of Jeff’s hometown fans.”

Courtney’s World Challenge effort is propelled by Kenda Tires along with RecStuff.com, the authority in trailer parts, an online retailer that specializes in trailer tires and wheels along with other components for trailers.

The #89 car has support from RPM Canada; Enercare, one of Canada’s largest home and commercial services and energy solutions companies; and Wolseley Canada, the leading wholesale distributor to plumbing, HVAC/R, waterworks and industrial markets in the country.
